Skunkeye was in Filene's yesterday afternoon desperate for a fix and he noticed a man with the scariest bithmark on his forehead. I tried not to stare because that is rude - was it carcinoma or melanoma or just a port wine stain? Elsewhere in ths store, I noticed the same phenomena on a lady shopper's forehead.

Then I put two and two together - Ash Wednesday catches me off guard every time. Should know better because I was raised Catholic. Stepping out onto Connecticut Avenue to join the Sheeppeople returning home from work I noticed quite a few such marks. Such a strange day...
